Christmas Morning Waffles
I love serving waffles on Christmas morning, and I have a lot of different recipes for the season. Two of them are shared below: Gingerbread Waffles and Cherry Eggnog Waffles. Both of them can be made fresh on Christmas morning, of course, but you can also make them up to a week ahad of time, wrap them thoroughly and keep them in the freezer until Christmas Eve. Let them thaw overnight in the fridge, and then unwrap them Christmas morning (that seems appropriate, doesn't it?). I recommend they be reheated in an oven (set in a single layer on a baking sheet at 300 degrees until warm and slightly crisp) or in the toaster, rather than in the microwave.
